Bauer Media Outdoor mobilized its teams for a CSR initiative supporting youth

Once again this year, Bauer Media Outdoor proves that its commitment goes beyond its screens and takes root directly in the field. On Friday, September 11, 75 employees volunteered with the non-profit organization Les Stations de Plein Air, located in the heart of Parmentier Park in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre. This initiative continues a vision upheld by the company for several years: supporting organizations that create more opportunities for children.

A concrete commitment in the field

Armed with gloves and gardening tools, employees rolled up their sleeves to support Les Stations de Plein Air through various maintenance tasks, including tending to hedge, the vegetable garden, flower beds, fences, pathways, and more. This collective effort aimed to keep the facility welcoming, safe, and stimulating for the children it hosts every day.

This CSR initiative aligns seamlessly with the core vision established by Bauer Media Outdoor in 2018: supporting organizations that offer greater opportunities to children.

“Our medium, Out-of-Home, sparks children's dreams. On the streets, they see posters for movies, concerts, cultural events, athletic achievements, and inspiring stories. These images spark their imagination and reveal what is possible. They often find their way onto their bedroom walls, serving as a source of inspiration and a tangible reminder of what they can achieve in the future,” explained Jan De Moor, Managing Director of Bauer Media Outdoor Belgium.

By supporting non-profits that make a real difference in children's lives, Bauer Media Outdoor aims to help bridge the gap between their dreams and reality.

The CSR day on September 11 adds to the company's previous initiatives, which include renovation work at schools in Ixelles and Etterbeek, toy drives for underprivileged children, and annual participation in the Brussels 20k to benefit Make-A-Wish.

Supporting a century-old institution for social inclusion

Founded over 90 years ago, the non-profit Les Stations de Plein Air is a key player in youth activities in Brussels. The organization's mission is to provide all children with access to quality educational and recreational activities.

Through a solidarity-based sliding pricing scale, the association promotes social diversity and instils values of respect, cooperation, and solidarity. Offering extracurricular workshops, summer camps, field trips, and an educational vegetable garden, Les Stations de Plein Air provides an inclusive environment that is essential to young people's personal development.
