Bauer Media Outdoor strengthens its network in the Antwerp regio with Hove win

Bauer Media Outdoor continues its expansion in Flanders by winning the new street furniture contract for the municipality of Hove. Awarded for a 15-year period, this partnership covers the rollout of 14 new bus shelters and 8 FSUs (free-standing units), including 5 digital screens. Following several recent wins in Flanders—including Sint-Truiden, Aalst, and Blankenberge—this new concession consolidates Bauer Media Outdoor's presence in the immediate vicinity of Antwerp.

Strengthening digital coverage on the doorstep of Antwerp

Thanks to its affluent residential profile and direct connection to Antwerp, Hove enjoys a particularly compelling position for advertisers. The installation of 5 new digital screens expands Bauer Media Outdoor’s DOOH coverage in the region, offering brands fresh opportunities to engage this local audience.

This new location contributes to the growth of Bauer Media Outdoor’s (digital) network in Flanders, combining reach in major urban centers with local coverage in municipalities strategically connected to these hubs.

14 new bus shelters, all fitted with green roofs

In addition to the eight FSUs (stand-alone units), Bauer Media Outdoor will install 14 bus shelters featuring green roofs: a solution already rolled out in Kontich, Kuurne and Destelbergen. Beyond fostering biodiversity by creating extra space for pollinating insects, these roofs help retain rainwater and introduce more greenery into the urban environment. It is an approach that turns street furniture into a medium that is functional, aesthetic, and better integrated into its surroundings. The contract also includes the installation of an automatic, self-cleaning public restroom, adding to the services available to residents and visitors.

Following Sint-Truiden, Aalst, Blankenberge, and now Hove, Bauer Media Outdoor continues its Flemish expansion, steadily extending its DOOH offering to key new towns and municipalities.

"Winning Hove represents another key milestone in developing our DOOH network in Flanders. Its proximity to Antwerp makes it a highly complementary addition to our regional footprint. This contract also reflects our ambition to go beyond pure media reach, delivering sustainable street furniture and services that bring genuine value to the municipality and its residents," says Jan De Moor, Managing Director of Bauer Media Outdoor Belgium.
